Will you if elected to sir Fyney Torfaen , And It Says you were Born in Abergavenny.. so was i.. stop the old library in town being turned into a mosque..! And allow it to be used by the sort of people (Disabled,) Who should be using it.. that was the purpose it was donated to the town in the first place… And open an enquiry into the labour party person who allowed it to happen..!!! If yes you will definitely get my vote..
Thank you for your query, Mr Jones. GWLAD candidate Brad Williams replies –
In short to answer yes. I am aware of this issue and I don’t see why a historic building that holds many dear memories for Abergavenny residents past and present should be utilized in this way.
To go further on the issue I want to understand also how many Muslim residents there are and what is their intention for a place of worship and if they have considered alternatives. It would also be great to work with someone like you on new ideas of what we can do with the building which will be sustainable and an asset to the community.
Perhaps there are also further discussions to be had with the wider community on any disused building in the town and what are future plans to make our town the best it can be.
Happy to discuss over a video call.
Kind Regards, Brad.
