Gwyn’s message to our supporters – GWLAD is no longer a “small party”

Coun Gwyn Wigley Evans, GWLAD Leader

Thank you sincerely for your support in this Senedd election campaign, which reaches its conclusion tomorrow, Thursday, 7 May.

This is forecast to be one of the most significant days in the political history of Wales.

Yes, it seems likely that at last Wales is to be freed from the vice-like grip of Labour. Other parties will form a new Welsh Government.

You’ll have heard what other parties have to offer, but only GWLAD has the vision to fix the broken Welsh economy, whose failure is at the root of all our nation’s problems – low wages, failing public services, our young people either struggling to find affordable housing at home, or having to leave Wales to find good-quality employment opportunities.

That’s why we at GWLAD are proud of our policies to:

*encourage more wealthy people to start businesses in Wales, invest in Welsh businesses, employ Welsh people and, yes, pay their taxes in Wales

*concentrate our policies 100% on improving prospects for Welsh people, Welsh businesses and Welsh communities

*create a Wales where it’s easier for innovative Welsh businesses to start up and grow

Yes, we’re not yet considered one of Wales “main parties”. The parties who have let Wales down so badly and for so long. And whose message are often based on grievance, envy, and the economics of the begging bowl.

And because we’re not yet considered a “main party”, the mainstream media, and some Wales-wide organisations, have denied us the chance to get our message across in hustings. Yet we’re now perceived as a threat to other parties with our candidates receiving online abuse and our posters and placards vandalised.

Let’s be clear. GWLAD is no longer a “small party”. GWLAD followers and supporters have grown hugely in number over this election campaign (our Facebook account has had nearly 2.5 million views in the last 90 days, and nearly 50k reactions over the same period), and we are now recognised as a progressive, alternative voice in Welsh politics

With your support tomorrow, and in the months to come, we will grow even more.

We are urging you to use your vote for GWLAD in the election on Thursday. You’ll have one vote on the ballot paper and you cast it against our party name. And ask your friends to do so too!

We’re targeting a number of key constituencies this time around, so if there’s no GWLAD candidate in your area, please continue to support us by spreading the GWLAD message. We’re excited to look forward to the council elections next year.

The more votes we get, the louder our voice will become. And the more this happens, the more our positive, upbeat message will reach every corner of Wales.

My appeal to you cannot be clearer. Cast your vote on Thursday. Vote for a better Wales. Vote GWLAD!
